National level workshop on “Computing in data mining and analysis – Biostatistics easier than before…” on 6th October, 12


In the last decade the number of symposiums has organized under Faculty of medicine, RK University to enhance quality of clinical research. Clinical research has shown remarkable contribution in overall growth of health care industries. Data mining and analysis has played the key role in predicting prospective outcomes of the meta-analysis. In the 21st century, computing in data mining and analysis has extended all the boundaries of clinical researches and researchers.

To evolve this global tendency and enhance the role of computer in data mining and analysis with data presentation, we are organizing and inviting interested delegates for National level workshop on “Computing in data mining and analysis – Biostatistics easier than before…” on 6th September, 12 at RK University campus. Workshop on “International Robotics Challenge (IRC)” conduct by IIT-Bombay






Dear All Friends

The School of Engineering, RK University is glad to inform you about organizing 2 days workshop on “International Robotics Challenge (IRC)” during 7th – 8th Sep 2012.

International Robotics Challenge (IRC), a unique initiative of Techfest provides a universal and common platform for all the Indian as well as International participants to compete and excel. The IRC workshop aims to provide a platform to Indian students to prove their mettle amongst the International teams from 7 other countries. The participants will learn about technologies like Microcontroller Programming on Arduino architecture in this workshop. Along with this, the participants will also be able to build an Autonomous Maze-solving Robot and Manual bot.

The workshop is being conducted by IRC Outreach Partner Robosapiens Technology Pvt. Ltd. This two day workshop will cover various practical activities along with the theoretical concepts covered throughout the sessions. Practical activities will enrich the development of Autonomous Robots using AVR Atmega8 Micro controllers with the help of Robosapiens iBOT Kit in students, Sensors Array interfacing skills of the participants, understanding the various gripping and sliding mechanisms, various nuances of Grid solving techniques. Attending this workshop will drive instincts to deliver in the domain of robotics. Workshop will cover following list of topics:
·         Introduction of Robotics
·         Sensors and Motor Control Using H-Bridge(L293D)

·         Grid Solving Robot with AVR microcontroller

·         Running Grid Solver

·         Exploring Automated Robot Kit

·         Exploring Manual Robot Kit

National Workshop on “Expansion in Developing and Organising Digital Information Resources" on 24-26 September 2012, BIT-Mesra, Ranchi


It's my pleasure to inform you that, Birla Institute of Technology is conducting ICSSR sponsored 3 days national workshop on  “Expansion in Developing and Organising Digital Information Resources" on  24-26 September 2012.
Registration Fee, boarding and lodging is free for this workshop.

This workshop will create the awareness among the participants on types of digital information resources and its utilities; develop competitive skills and techniques for social scientist/ scholars/ibrarians in searching, accessing, downloading and  archiving the digital information resources; familiarize the access patterns of digital information resources using remote web portals and selecting patterns of digital information resources for academic/research pursuits.
To survey the roadmap for literature search, retrieval, download and organise the digital information resource for academic and research purposes, alert challenges, prospects and impact of digital information resources on social scientists.

The workshop is limited to 30 participants, so we will accept the application on first cum first basis, along with the professional background. The last date for registration is 1st September 2012.
